The Property Manager is responsible for the successful operation of commercial properties within the GTA. The Property Manager is responsible for meeting all contract obligations and deliverables as well as achieving the client’s goals and objectives through effective financial and operational management.

As the senior member of the property management team on site(s), the key responsibilities of the Property Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Cost management of operating expenses – developing & managing operating budgets;
  • Rent collection and arrears management;
  • Purchase order processing and contractor management;
  • Work order processing and administration;
  • Lease administration, tenant liaison, maintenance management;
  • Client management and reporting.
  • Contract/Project Management,
  • Staffing management

Desired Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

  • At least five (5) years experience in Commercial Property Management.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Leases and Commercial Property Management.
  • Experience with YARDI would be an asset.
  • Strong Contract Management & Trade Supervision of Trades /contractors
  • Excel at planning and organizing. Ability to meet deadlines proficiently.
  • Energetic leadership. Enjoys leading by example. Using a “can-do” attitude that will positively influence, motivate and energize the team.
  • Innovator. Proven ability to identify, evaluate and develop new ideas with supportable results,
  • Solid Analytical Strengths. Ability to apply logic and reasoning to effective manage projects, analyze complex financial, legal and contractual problems and to provide solutions or recommendations,
  • Effective Negotiation skills to influence and impact at all levels – senior management, peers, direct and indirect reports,
  • Ability to review building specifications and drawings,
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (Ontario),
  • Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Reliable Vehicle Required.
  • Strong knowledge & experience in preparation & understanding of commercial property budgets, financial analysis,
  • Strong administrative experience in Commercial Property Management.
